Accessibility statement

Jason Heisserer Therapy is committed to ensuring that this website is accessible to all people, including those with disabilities. This statement outlines our commitment, the standards we aim to meet, and how to reach us if you encounter any barriers.

Our Commitment
We believe that access to mental health information and professional services should be available to everyone. We are actively working to ensure that jasonheisserer.com meets recognized accessibility standards and provides a positive experience for all visitors, regardless of ability or the assistive technology they use.

Standards We Aim to Meet
This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those with visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments.
Our current efforts include:

  • Using sufficient color contrast throughout the site

  • Providing descriptive alt text for all meaningful images

  • Ensuring all pages are navigable by keyboard

  • Using clear, plain-language copy throughout

  • Structuring pages with proper heading hierarchy for screen reader navigation

  • Ensuring contact forms are accessible and clearly labeled

Known Limitations
While we work toward full accessibility, some areas of the site may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. We are committed to addressing these gaps over time. Third-party tools embedded in the site — including the SimplePractice booking and contact widgets — are subject to the accessibility practices of those platforms.

Physical Office Accessibility
Office is accessible for people with mobility needs. Parking is accessible. There are stairs and elevators. Hallways and office spaces also accommodate those with mobility needs.

Contact Us
If you experience any difficulty accessing any part of this website, or if you have suggestions for how we can improve accessibility, please reach out. We take all feedback seriously and will do our best to respond promptly and address any barriers.

Alternative Formats
If you need information from this website in an alternative format — such as large print or an accessible document version — please get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Ongoing Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time fix. We review and update this statement as the site evolves. If you believe we are not meeting our commitments, or if you have encountered a barrier not listed here, please let us know.
